SalHUD is a prototype interactive display of years of potential life lost (YPLL) in each municipality in the island of Puerto Rico according to major causes of death.
The project started as a collaboration between hackers from 3 UPR campuses for the First Puerto Rico Tech Summit Hackathon (Code For Puerto Rico) Jun 6th, 2013 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
A poster describing the project was presented at the 2014 International Symposium on Minority Health and Health Disparities. December 1-3, 2014 National Harbor, Maryland, USA. The full source code for the demo is available on github.
