The 2^nd Workshop on the Theory of Transactional Memory is a forum to foster exchanges, discussions, and disseminations between researchers of speculative solutions for concurrent programming. The objective is to discuss new theoretical challenges and recent achievements in the context of transactional computing.

This workshop is devoted to cover contributions in both the design and analysis of discrete and distributed algorithms and the system modeling in the context of mobile, wireless, ad-hoc, and sensor networks. In particular, it aims at bringing together the practitioners and theoreticians of the field and is intended to foster cooperation among researchers in mobile computing and researchers in discrete and distributed algorithms.

This workshop is planned for Sunday 12^th afternoon and the program of this meeting is intended to motivate further concerted study and analysis of dynamic distributed systems. The meeting will include a series of invited presentations that will provide views of the main achievements in this area to date, and motivate research by reviewing key challenges and formulating new directions. A panel with the presenters and led by the organizers will conclude the workshop.
